The initial public engagement activities were scheduled as 3 x 3 hour sessions in July 2023. The sessions were scheduled at a range of times morning, afternoon and early evening to engage with as wide a sample group as possible. In the third workshop session the project invited meeting scribe Hannah Williams (Scribble Inc) to document the workshop process through a live scribe drawing in the workshop space.
Across the 3 workshops 14 individuals signed up to participate. All participants completed consent forms in advance of the session and principal investigator made all attendees aware of the aims of the project and how their data and participation would be used to inform research outcomes and future dissemination. All participants were invited to attend future endometriosis toolkit testing sessions in November-December 2023. A toolkit review workshop was also delivered with 15 health professionals in January 2024 to gain feedback on its development. All participants were invited to the end of project exhibition at Arc Centre in March 2024.
Workshop facilitators and documentary filmmakers were fully integrated into the workshop process and invited to contribute and reflect based on their individual experience insights or observations.
