Dr Jasmine Hearn: Principal Investigator
Dr Jasmine Hearn is a senior lecturer in Psychology and Programme Leader for the MSc Health Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University. Jasmine's research focuses on the lived experiences of chronic pain in a range of long-term health conditions, such as spinal cord injury and endometriosis, with the aim of improving communication, shared-decision-making, and management of chronic pain. Jasmine's work is underpinned by qualitative research and behaviour change principles and she's passionate about creative collaborations and developing practical tools to help people manage their health. Jasmine’s work has been featured in The New York Times, The Psychologist, and The Conversation.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​Ian Whadcock: Co-Investigator
Ian Whadcock is a Reader in Design with an education leadership role in the Department of Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. Through his role at Man Met and professional career as a designer and illustrator he has engaged in multiple contexts related to the creative interpretation and translation of information into visual form. Ian has acted as collaborative partner on the AHRC project and facilitated creative networks to resource, develop and art direct the prototype endometriosis toolkit. Ian's work has featured in The Guardian, Harvard Business Review, The Economist, New Scientist.    
Helen Mather: Workshop Lead 
Helen Mather is a multimedia artist and workshop facilitator. She is interested in material language, how materials can speak to things that verbal language cannot, and the tacit knowledge gained from working with them. Her practice involves community engagement with communal making, discussion, and collaboration at the centre.

Helen has recently graduated from the MA/MSc Design for Health and Wellbeing programme at Manchester Met and undertook the role with the project to develop insight, mentoring and practical experience in delivery of workshops based in creative practice research methods.

Yee-Jing has recently graduated from the MA/MSc Design for Health and Wellbeing programme at Manchester Met and undertook the role with the project to develop insight, mentoring and practical experience in delivery of workshops based in creative practice research methods.
